libresid-builder-dev software package provides SID chip emulation class based on resid, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libresid-builder-dev
libresid-builder-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libresid-builder-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libresid-builder-dev *
You will get with libresid-builder-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
